New CRISPRs expand research and biomedical applications upon original's abilities
Researchers at Duke University and North Carolina State University have discovered new CRISPR-Cas systems that expand the capabilities of gene editing and DNA manipulation. A particularly promising system, called SubCas9, was found in Streptococcus uberis, a bacteria commonly found in dairy cows.
